Hello, welcome to ‘Rugs From Yesterday’ the wonderful world of braided rugs! We’re located in the heart of eastern Iowa near the Amana Colonies.

We specialize in making beautiful crafted braided rugs. We are a family business and are currently featuring our very cute neutral colored Pet Welcome Rugs and Dog Bone mats. The color combination of the neutral yarns we use may vary from what is featured on the pictures. The welcome rugs are a great way to greet your guest or even customers who stop by. The dog bone mats are great for your pet’s food dishes and those messy spills. So if you’re looking for that unique gift for that hard to buy for person or pet this would be a wonderful idea.

Our rugs are created by using carpet yarn on the inside and outside of the rugs and sewn together with upholstery thread. This makes the rugs washable in cold water, gentle cycle and lay flat to dry.

The braided rugs that we create are referred to as round or cord braided rug. This type of braided rug has a core center of carpet yarn with an outer layer of carpet yarn.

We also get a lot of questions about the thickness of our rugs. Based on the amount of yarn used in the core and the thickness of the outer layer yarn our rugs are approximately a half inch thick. This should help you to determine if your doors will clear the rug when opening and shutting.

Shipping time will range from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the time of year and order sizes.
